Through research and development, Dale of Norway was able to come up with the Knitshell (TM) concept, a wool fabric that is windproof, breathable and water repellent. It is a 3-layer fabric consisting of a water repellent knit, 100% wool knit fabric that is fused with a breathable windproof membrane and a soft inner liner, creating an amazing fabric with technical properties. This is proprietary to Dale of Norway and we use it exclusively in our outerwear collection.

It has superior insulation and breathability, it regulates body temperature, absorbs and wicks moisture, it is warm even when wet or damp, is naturally odor resistant, elastic, non-static and maintains its shape – and best of all, it is a 100% natural and sustainable fiber.
